1. Tina Fey is set to return to the stage that made her famous. The comedian will host the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live,” joined by Arcade Fire as musical guest. Miley Cyrus has been tapped to twerk her way through hosting and performing later on in the season, and Bruce Willis has also been confirmed as host. The new season premieres on September 28. [Variety]

2. Elton John is set to perform a musical tribute to Liberace at the upcoming Emmy Awards ceremony, it is being reported. Liberace, of course, was the subject of HBO’s “Behind the Candelabra,” which is nominated for 15 awards. Any chance Michael Douglas will join him on a duet? This, oddly, will be the first time John has appeared at the Emmys. [SPIN]

3. Iclandic sleep-rock band Sigur Rós are set to appear on the upcoming season of “Game of Thrones.” Since they are not actors, we’re assuming they play musicians of some kind. Wasn’t a member of Coldplay in an episode once? Who behind the scenes of this show likes terrible music? [EW]

4. “London Fields,” an adaptation of the novel by Martin Amis, is finally happening. David Cronenberg and Michael Winterbottom have been attached to the film at various points, but now Mathew Cullen will make his feature directing debut on the film, from a script by Amis and Roberta Hanley. Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess, and Theo James have all been cast in the film. Cullen has previously directed a bunch of commercials and music videos, none good enough to note, and he’s professionally associated with Guillermo del Toro. I love the novel, but I’m not too excited for this one. [Deadline]

5. Kanye West, wearing one of his favorite kilts, appeared on “Jimmy Fallon” last night to perform “Bound 2,” the final song off his latest album, “Yeezus.” Joined by The Roots and Charlie Wilson (former lead-singer of the Gap Band), West performed the least abrasive song on the album with little energy. That’s not to say it wasn’t controversial, though. Listen closely to the first line of the song and you’ll notice West changes it up for the life performance to include a diss thrown at “Brandy’s little sister,” presumably a reference to Ray J, Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend. Watch the performance below. [Pitchfork]
